How One Video Exposed a Massive Development — and Sparked a Movement

In early 2025, a massive 1,200+ home development was quietly pushed forward — right as a major school bond hit the ballot. Few residents even knew it was happening.

Then one Facebook video broke the story wide open.

Within days, neighbors came together. The community rallied. Local media took notice. And the project was stopped at the county level.

That video didn’t just stop a development — it gave birth to Teays Valley Against Overgrowth. This movement started with a voice. Now, it's a growing chorus.
